400 esibitori, 8.000 visitatori, oltre 200 sessioni e seminari ed altro ancora caratterizzeranno i quattro giorni della manifestazione, che quest’anno avrà luogo ad Houston (Texas) dal 27 maggio al 1° Giugno.

Anche in occasione di tale edizione, e per la 6^ edizione consecutiva, Eduitalia coordina uno spazio comune italiano, quest’anno composto da 9 booth espositivi, intervenendo in quello che è ritenuto uno dei più importanti appuntamenti annuali nel settore dello Study Abroad.

Un’importante occasione di visibilità sia per gli Istituti Associati che interverranno direttamente alla Nafsa sia per coloro i quali, seppur non presenti, vedranno veicolare il nome del proprio Istituto tramite la promozione che Eduitalia effettuerà in favore di tutti gli Istituti Associati promuovendone la totalità dei corsi.

• visto inserita la propria descrizione nella sezione cooperazione culturale del sito dell’Ambasciata Italiana in Russia
• dialogato con il MAE prestando particolare attenzione alla problematiche relative al Visto per Motivo di Studio
• potenziato  il  portale eduitalia.org, con particolare attenzione allo sviluppo sia della sezione Educational Institutions che al motore di ricerca dei corsi, determinando un sostanziale aumento dei visitatori ( sito visitato negli ultimi 365 gg in 136 nazioni per un totale di 13.257 visitatori  di cui il 72,18% da intendersi come primi visitatori a conferma del ruolo di primo riferimento informativo che svolge il portale sui soggiorni studio in Italia)

È di interesse rimetterVi un nuovo dato statistico sul  fenomeno Study Abroad in relazione agli studenti U.S.

262.416 studenti statunitensi hanno studiato all’estero nell’anno accademico 2007/2008,  con  incremento dell’8,5% rispetto al precedente anno.  Tra le “TOP 10 countries of destination for study abroad”,  l’Italia è la 2^ nazione di destinazione degli stessi. Al primo posto per ovvie ragioni vi è la Gran Bretagna, ma in 30.670 hanno scelto un corso di studi in Italia(1).
E’ un dato incoraggiante……a fare sempre di più.

Affidiamo alla promozione internazionale2010 di Eduitalia, allo strumento della Guida Eduitalia ed alla Vostra collaborazione, il potenziale raggiungimento di  un numero sempre maggiore di studenti (non solo statunitensi) che scelgono l’Italia come meta della propria destinazione di studio.

To remember because of major institutional awards: the presentation of the Eduitalia Guide by the Secretaries of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Craxi and Scotti;  the decisive collaboration concluded with the MAE Visa Centre and the positive solution of various cases associated with the issuance of Visas; the visibility that the Ministry of Tourism has given us in the section dedicated to study tours and the high patronage acquired.

Nella manifestazione Actfl (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language), svoltasi  ad Orlando,  Eduitalia ha rappresentato l’offerta formativa italiana nelle sue scuole ed Università associate all’interno dello spazio espositivo dell’Italian Trade Commission.

Eduitalia, insieme alle realtà italiane istituzionali presenti, era presente esponendo tutto il proprio materiale rappresentativo italiano pronto ad informare l’utenza straniera sulle opportunità date per l’apprendimento della cultura italiana.

La guida “Eduitalia Special Edition Fiera dello studio Tokyo, Icef Berlino, Actlfl Orlando”, giunta alla sua terza edizione 2008  è stata oggetto di interesse, anche in quella che è si è presentata come la quarta manifestazione statunitense di questo intenso 2008. La manifestazione Actfl di Orlando, segue quest’anno, l’Aiea Washington (Febbraio), la Nectfl New York (Marzo), il Nafsa di Washington (Maggio). La manifestazione di Orlando non rappresenta però l’ultima manifestazione di quest’anno in territorio statunitense; siamo infatti  a poco più di una settimana dalla prossima importante nella quale Eduitalia mira ad incrementare la visibilità delle sue scuole ed Università associate: dal 7 al 9 dicembre saremo presenti all’ Icef di Miami.

Manifestazione di grande interesse nella quale ci confronteremo con  operatori (il 78% sarà di provenienza Usa, Sud America ed Asia) del mondo dello Study Abroad potenzialmente interessati alle offerte formative italiane.  Alla manifestazione Icef Miami  saremo presenti in un booth espositivo, dal quale daremo, come sempre, il nostro massimo impegno nel rappresentare le nostre realtà formative italiane al fine di determinare le scelte di studio degli studenti stranieri.

Riteniamo d’interesse rendervi noto che, il giorno precedente l’inizio della manifestazione, la delegazione Eduitalia sarà ricevuta presso l’Ambasciata Italiana di Mosca dal Responsabile dell’Ufficio Istruzione e dal Responsabile Culturale dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura; il nostro obbiettivo è sia quello di avviare delle sinergie tese a dare la dovuta visibilità ai corsi offerti dagli Istituti Associati che quello di concretizzare delle ulteriori sinergie congiunte in vista dell’anno 2011 che si caratterizzerà come “L’anno della Lingua e della Cultura Italiana in Russia” (1) (2).

Ne approfittiamo per informarvi inoltre che il Parlamento Europeo ha abolito i visti di accesso per i cittadini provenienti da Albania e Bosnia. Il provvedimento sarà operativo in Italia entro la fine di questo anno (3).

Vi ricordiamo inoltre di segnare nel Vostro calendario la data del 23 novembre 2010 come il giorno in cui avrà luogo la Convention Annuale Eduitalia. Come negli anni passati rimaniamo in attesa dei Vostri preziosi suggerimenti per eventuali argomenti di discussione da Voi proposti e che saranno inseriti nell’ordine del giorno. (3) A coloro i quali fosse sfuggita l’informazione ricordiamo che in data 01.09.2010 il Ministero degli Affari Esteri in concerto con il Ministero degli Interni ha emesso un provvedimento di grande importanza per il nostro sistema Study Abroad che prevede, per una serie di nazioni, l’esenzione dell’obbligo del visto per motivo di studio in relazione a periodi inferiori ai 90 giorni. In una frenetica Washington, in piena campagna elettorale per le elezioni presidenziali americane, si è appena conclusa la venticinquesima edizione della conferenza annuale dell’Aiea.

Il tema conduttore della predetta manifestazione è stato: “Globalization: implication for International Education”, con una serie di interessanti workshops incentrati sull’Educazione Globale, volti ad identificare sempre di più nel giovane studente la figura del nuovo futuro cittadino globale. La consapevolezza è, infatti, quella del  crescente aumento del movimento studentesco mondiale, sempre più desideroso di attraversare i continenti. Un workshop ci ha confermato ancora una volta il potenziale insito nel fenomeno dello Study Abroad. Rappresentanti della commissione governativa  “Lincoln” (così denominata in onore di uno dei primi presidenti degli Stati Uniti, ricordato anche per la sua sensibilità ai temi dell’educazione dello studente) sono intervenuti per illustrare le strategie politico-educative del governo statunitense: obiettivo della commissione governativa è agevolare, anche economicamente, ogni anno un milione di studenti nel vivere una esperienza di studio all’estero.

Il desiderio di voler conoscere la cultura Italiana, abbinato al valore aggiunto dei nostri istituti che hanno corsi anche in lingua Inglese (a favore di  coloro i quali, affascinati dall’Italia, intendono però seguire corsi nella propria lingua), costituiscono i punti di forza che Eduitalia intende con maggiore forza rendere propri nel sottoporre all’attenzione mondiale il nostro sistema di istruzione. Ciò anche alla luce dell’interesse dimostrato nei confronti dei nostri istituti nell’appena conclusasi manifestazione  Aiea. Anche in tale evento, infatti, vi sono state presso il nostro booth espositivo continue  richieste e notizie sulle opportunità formative italiane. È stato distribuito il nostro materiale informativo e nel voler promuovere al meglio l’immagine del nostro sistema Italia di istruzione, in accordo con l’organizzazione, è stato inserita, all’interno del kit fornito ad ogni partecipante, la presentazione ufficiale della nostra associazione.

Inoltre il nostro dinamico Amministratore, Dott. Vittorio Careri, dal palco della manifestazione ha avuto il privilegio di  attirare l’attenta platea illustrando gli obiettivi di Eduitalia. Incoraggiata da questi risultati, Eduitalia continua nel suo massimo impegno teso a propagandare ovunque la propria offerta formativa anche se si avverte la necessità di dover fare sempre di più.

Una realtà come EduEspana (presente in forza anche in tale occasione) appare più compatta nel catturare l’attenzione del flusso studentesco mondiale. Essa è favorita dalla perfetta simbiosi con il proprio governo, pronto in occasione di ogni manifestazione al massimo sostegno istituzionale compreso il rimborso delle non indifferenti spese sostenute.

Ma anche grazie all’entusiasmo dei nostri istituti ed alle richieste internazionali, che sottolineano sempre di più l’appetibilità del nostro Paese, Eduitalia è fortemente convinta, insieme ai suoi associati, di avere le carte in regola nel rendere protagonista mondiale il Nostro Sistema Italia di istruzione.
Proprio per questo Eduitalia, a favore dei suoi istituti, è pronta al dialogo globale con nuove realtà internazionali, nelle ormai imminenti manifestazioni Weba-Losone ed Icef -Tokio.

Alchimia – Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence

Alchimia, a school of contemporary jewellery and design in Florence, Italy, was founded in 1998 by Lucia Massei and Doris Maninger.

The school’s philosophy is to provide students an innovative lab of creative thought, rooted in a deep understanding of traditional goldsmith techniques.The school’s annual course program, taken in sequence or individually, permits students to develop an awareness of their own creative expression, as well as the contemporary professional standards.

Short-term intensive courses with open enrollment dates year-round offer customized study programs in contemporary jewellery to both beginning and advanced level students.

In complement to the annual and intensive programs, evening or weekend courses and specialized workshops led by international artists and designers concentrate on specific techniques or conceptual ideas.

Nello specifico :
a)  giorno 27 marzo alle ore 18.00, presso la sede dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Istanbul, Eduitalia presenterà il Sistema Study Abroad Italiano. Alla presentazione sono stati invitati sia gli studenti che frequentano i corsi dell’Istituto Italiano di Cultura come anche coloro i quali, interessati alla Cultura Italiana, frequentano l’Istituto a vario titolo. Circa un migliaio risultano gli iscritti ai corsi annuali dell’Istituto. L’obbiettivo della presentazione sarà quello di fornire un quadro sistemico sui corsi di studio che gli Istituti Associati offrono in Italia..   
b) la delegazione Eduitalia  incontrerà inoltre il  Console Generale di Istanbul Gianluca Alberini, il capo dell’Ufficio Scuole Antonio Scipioni ed il Dott. Massimo di Segni, dirigente scolastico del Liceo Italiano I.M.I.

Accogliamo con soddisfazione il prezioso supporto istituzionale della nostra Ambasciata anche perché, mentre il 2011 è stato un anno particolare nei rapporti tra l’Italia e la Russia,  il 2012 lo è nell’ambito dei rapporti Italia- Turchia. Quest’ anno è stato infatti denominato dal Ministero degli Affari Esteri come  l’anno degli “Orizzonti Italiani”, essendo questo  il nome dato alle numerose attività ministeriali indirizzate ad accrescere i legami tra Italia e Turchia.

Questa importante e positiva iniziativa messa in atto dall’Ambasciata Italiana in Russia concretizza un prezioso supporto alla visibilità internazionale dei  corsi di studio offerti dagli Istituti Associati e consente di  presentare al pubblico russo le opportunità di studio presenti sul territorio italiano, con importanti benefici in termini di conoscibilità del sistema Study Abroad italiano.

La presenza di Eduitalia sul sito dell’Ambasciata Italiana in Russia segue la presentazione ufficiale di Eduitalia  tenutasi presso l’Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Mosca giorno 11.02.2011 ed il progetto che lega Eduitalia alle 50 scuole russe aderenti al programma PRIA (1) .

Il sistema Study Abroad italiano cresce.

Il Consorzio, senza scopo di lucro, costituirà nel panorama internazionale dell’education un punto di riferimento ed un eccezionale strumento di promozione per tutte le realtà italiane impegnate ad ogni livello, nel campo della formazione e della diffusione della Cultura italiana nel mondo.

Seconda a nessuno in termini qualitativi dell’offerta formativa, l’Italia subisce ancora gli effetti negativi di una storica disattenzione nei confronti del mercato dell’intercultura, tradottasi poi in una lunga serie di iniziative isolate, prive di ogni sistematicità e di forza interlocutoria.

EDUITALIA nasce per colmare tale vuoto, gettando un ponte tra le Scuole e Università d’Italia e la galassia degli scambi culturali.

Attraverso azioni mirate di sicura efficacia vuol portare alla considerazione dello scenario internazionale il valore aggiunto di un’esperienza formativa svolta nel nostro Paese. I mezzi che il Consorzio mette a disposizione dei propri Soci vanno dalla diffusione capillare di materiali informativi e promozionali al costante supporto e alla partecipazione diretta agli eventi di maggiore importanza strategica; dalla rappresentanza unitaria, e dunque più forte, nelle relative sedi istituzionali all’aggiornamento costante su ogni movimento del mercato.

A ciò si aggiungano, non meno importanti, l’organizzazione diretta di diverse iniziative volte tanto a favorire il confronto e lo scambio tra tutti gli operatori dell’education quanto alla miglior proiezione dell’immagine della formazione Italiana. Il portale internet di EDUITALIA è destinato a costituire il fulcro e il punto d’interconnessione per ogni attività svolta dal Consorzio, nell’esclusivo interesse dei suoi Soci.
