Cordialmente

ACCADEMIA EUROPEA DI FIRENZE

The Accademia Europea di Firenze is an Italian language, music, arts and culture school in the heart of the city of Florence, Italy.

After years of experience, our staff has identified the difficulties related to learning Italian as a second language and studying in a foreign country. This contributed to the creation of a structure in which the student’s needs are of fundamental importance, both in and outside of the classroom. Such experience was also used by our academic director, Edy Frollano, to publish the books that are used in the school, such as “L`italiano all`opera” and “L`italiano- lingua e comunicazione”

We emphasize the importance of putting the language to immediate use and within the student’s interests, so that the effort translates into success. The Music and Art Departments, in fact, complement the Language Department, not only by offering courses, but also by organizing events to stimulate the students: concerts, art exhibits, folklore, etc.

Courses:
- Italian language.
- Music- vocal technique, diction, opera libretti, instruments, history of Italian music, etc.
- We are attracting music conservatories and universities that know the importance of the Italian language and diction, as well as the history and libretto of Italian operas, for those who wish to follow a career in this field because the majority of the operas are in Italian.
- June and November: mock auditions with the Director of the Met Opera National Council Auditions in NY (MONC), Gayletha Nichols.
- Arts- oil painting, sculpture, interior design, photography, etc.
- Culture- history of art, literature, Italian cinema, Italian theater, cooking, wine appreciation, etc.

Evviva Eduitalia

Alchimia – Florence

Alchimia is a private professional contemporary jewellery school in Florence, Italy. We offer academic jewellery making and design courses at BA and specialization levels, and short-term programs from 2 weeks to 3 months in length.

Our mission is to provide students with knowledge, conceptual and technical, about contemporary jewelry, providing a supporting practical work environment where interaction between students, artists and teachers/technicians will transmit enough experience to prepare individuals as professional makers, artists and designers.

The three year program is structured in a sequential manner to allow students to slowly develop their awareness of both their own work, and the contemporary professional standards.
The school organizes exhibitions, symposiums and participation in international fairs to complete the education on a professional level.

An important feature of the school is size – each class has a maximum of 12 students, which means very intense tutoring.
Short-term intensive courses with open dates are available all year and individual study programs (max. 4 students) give the opportunity to experience contemporary jewelry to both beginners and advanced students.

Academic Courses:
- basic-first year
- advanced-second year
- specialization-third year
The three academic courses can be completed in sequence or taken individually.

Firenze, 30 agosto 2006

Cordiali saluti

Dott. Giuseppe Giambrone

Centro Fiorenza offers two locations for its courses: Florence, open-all-year-round and the Island of Elba, open from May to October. Moving from Florence to the island of Elba is very easy and takes about 3 hours by public transport (train or bus + ferryboat).

Centro Fiorenza – IH Florence and the Island of Elba offers Italian language courses in group, combined or one-to-one.
12 levels and max 12 students per group. Each lesson lasts 50 minutes.

CENTRO ITALIANO FIRENZE

The school is run by Anja Schultz and Andrea Moradei, who having gained almost 30 years’ experience in the field, they have decided to create this new center, with the aim of offering a variety of programs better suited to the demands and interests of language learners from abroad. Note in particular the customized Italian language programs directly linked to students’ reasons for learning Italian.

Special attention is now devoted to the afternoon individual and group programs providing background information to History of art, the Arts, photography, modern architecture and design , political and social analysis, Tuscan cuisine, food and wine.

This new approach naturally led us to consider sharing experiences with the Centro Italiano in Naples, as their centre have been operating along these lines for many years, with excellent results. We should therefore like to offer our students the results of both experiences.

Courses:
The subject-matter of the language-courses is as closely linked to the world of Florence and Tuscany as we could make it.
The basic course is for groups, known as Corso di lingua italiana or Italian language course, and this year, will only be held on the dates specified. You can also combine it with a set of seminars on a specific topic.
Other courses, such as individual courses or courses with a personal language trainer, may be arranged to start on dates of your own choice.

The programs:
You may attend these programs with or without the morning Italian language courses, as group activities, on the dates we have suggested, or privately, with your family or friends on dates of your own choice.

Il riferimento va all’On.

Generalmente noi tutti in Eduitalia siamo ottimisti.

Altri contatti importanti sono stati avviati con i rappresentanti di Associazioni locali come AATI – American Association of Teachers of Italian (www.aati-online.org) nella persona del suo Presidente Anthony Tamburri; COMITES Washington DC (www.comitesdc.org) rappresentati dal loro Presidente, Dott. Carmelo Cicala. Infine NIAF – The National Italian American Foundation (www.niaf.org).

Conference on the Promotion of the Italian Language in U.S. Schools K-16 and Continuing Education

Washington D.C. – June 13, 2009
